Which data I process and why – brief and clear.

This website uses the analytics service Umami (Umami Software Inc.) for anonymized, cookie-free traffic measurement – no cookies, no permanent IP storage, and no cross-device or cross-site recognition. Legal basis: legitimate interest in privacy-friendly traffic measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
When you send an email, your details are stored to process your request. The email infrastructure is operated by Hosteurope GmbH, Cologne. Legal basis: Art. 6 GDPR.
Checklists and IT Basic Check: The self-assessment checklists and the IT Basic Check are evaluated entirely in your browser; your answers are neither transmitted to my server nor stored. If you send me the result, your own email program opens with a pre-filled message (for the checklists: name, answers, and optionally company and phone number; for the IT Basic Check: answers and score); it is only sent once you send it yourself. Section 3 then applies.
Article as PDF: When you request an article PDF, your email address and – optionally – your name are processed by a server-side script on the Hosteurope server. The script emails you the PDF and sends me a notification containing your name, email address, the time of the request, and your IP address; no database storage takes place. To protect the service against abuse, a pseudonymised hash of your IP address and of your email address (not the plain data) is additionally kept for at most 24 hours in order to limit the number of requests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, security of the service). The request requires your consent (checkbox). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent); you can withdraw it at any time by emailing business@zambaldi.eu. Your data is deleted once it is no longer needed for this purpose.
If you subscribe to the newsletter, I process your email address, the language you choose and – optionally – your name in order to send you new articles by email about every 3–4 weeks. For now, you subscribe through your own email program: you send a prepared message to business@zambaldi.eu; I confirm the subscription by email to the address you gave and keep the address in a recipient list (Hosteurope, see sections 3 and 6). The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future, using the unsubscribe link or an email to business@zambaldi.eu. After you unsubscribe, your address is deleted unless statutory retention duties apply. Opens and clicks are not tracked. As soon as I use a specialised mailing service, I will extend this policy with the provider, data processing agreement and retention period.
The protected area for participants of my trainings requires a course code and your e-mail address. E-mail address, course code, language and time of the request are processed to send you a personal access link by e-mail (valid for 30 days) and to document your authorisation. There is no user account and no cookies are set; the link carries a signed statement about your address and its validity, which is not stored on the server. Requests are kept exclusively in a non-public log file on my web space at Hosteurope (see section 7) and are deleted automatically after 12 months. To prevent abuse, accesses are counted briefly (24 hours at most) in anonymised form (hash values). Data is not passed on to third parties. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or performance of the training contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); you can request deletion at any time by e-mail to business@zambaldi.eu.
Website and email services are hosted by Hosteurope GmbH, Cologne. Server log files are deleted after max. 7 days. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
